Time to pay some parking tickets

I was walking Downtown from the library and saw these three cars all with parking tickets.
Orlando has become notorious for handing out these parking tickets. In some cities you have a bit of a grace period after your time is up in the meter, but parking enforcement in Orlando gives you a ticket right a way. Someone even made a t-shirt with the bright green color of the envelope you send your money in for your infraction to voice their opinion about these tickets.

I can't say parking enforcement is all that bad though. Yesterday I was trying to cross the street with my wife and 4 year old daughter at a crosswalk downtown and none of the cars would yield. A parking enforcement person yielded for us and signaled for the driver on the other side to stop, the driver wasn't going to stop so the parking enforcement officer moved his vehicle in the other lane and honked so the person would stop. He did and we crossed. Parking enforcement officials aren't all that bad.
